6200 Computing and Data Science (Delta+) 計算與數據科學 (港滬科技菁英) offers the choices of two professional degree programmes*: (1) Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science [BEng(CompSc)] and (2) Bachelor of Engineering in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science [BEng(AI&DataSc)]. It integrates educational excellence and industry resources from the Greater Bay Area and Yangtze River Delta.


Students will study on the HKU campus for 2.5 years and will be supported by a Delta+ Fellowship to pursue the final 1.5 years of their studies at the HKU-CDS Teaching and Research Site in Shanghai.


Students will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in Shanghai’s thriving AI and tech ecosystems, gaining exposure to leading R&D activities and participating in internship opportunities at prominent Shanghai tech companies. They will also benefit from visits to various tech companies and engage with industry leaders through CEO and CTO talks, providing valuable insights into the latest innovations and trends. Additionally, the program includes a six-month Co-op placement designed to deepen practical experience in the field. Students will also have access to the exclusive sports complex at the HKU-CDS Teaching and Research Site, supporting their overall well-being and campus life.


*Students can choose the final programme [BEng(CompSc)] or [BEng(AI&DataSc)] freely by the end of their first year.
