Opening of the Asian Quantum Information Science Conference (AQIS’25) at The University of Hong Kong (HKU)
The HKU School of Computing and Data Science (CDS) is pleased to announce the successful opening of the AQIS’25, which hosts at HKU this year. The five-day conference (August 4–8, 2025) officially commenced this morning with opening remarks delivered by Professor Xiang Zhang, President and Vice-Chancellor of HKU.

The five-day conference (August 4–8, 2025) officially commenced this morning with opening remarks delivered by Professor Xiang Zhang, President and Vice-Chancellor of HKU.
In his address, Professor Zhang welcomed distinguished scholars and researchers from around the world. He also highlighted the valuable opportunities for young scholars and students to engage with leading experts, exchange ideas, and be inspired by the latest breakthroughs at AQIS.
AQIS is a premier annual conference that brings together leading experts and young researchers in quantum information science across Asia and beyond. The 2025 edition features an exciting lineup of keynote speeches, technical sessions, and panel discussions covering topics such as quantum computing, quantum communication, quantum cryptography, and quantum technologies.
