From Campus to Airwaves: HKU CDS Professors Featured on RTHK
Start from May, the faculty members from the School of Computing and Data Science (CDS) at the University of Hong Kong (HKU) will be featured in two popular RTHK radio programmes, including “Crazy and Happy (瘋Show 快活人)” and “Bay Area Guide (灣區生活一小時)”- to share expert perspectives on the evolving role of artificial intelligence (AI), data science, and technological innovation in shaping our daily lives as well as the future development of CDS.

Start from May, the faculty members from the School of Computing and Data Science (CDS) at the University of Hong Kong (HKU) will be featured in two popular RTHK radio programmes, including “Crazy and Happy (瘋Show 快活人)” and “Bay Area Guide (灣區生活一小時)”- to share expert perspectives on the evolving role of artificial intelligence (AI), data science, and technological innovation in shaping our daily lives as well as the future development of CDS.
Professor Siu Ming YIU and Dr Yi King CHOI will join the “瘋Show 快活人” programme as guest hosts, while various CDS faculty members will appear as guest speakers in the series. Under the theme “The AI Starter Class II (AI BB班 II)”, the scholars will delve into the practical uses of AI across various areas of everyday life, exploring topics such as emerging AI-related crime cases, the role of AI in elderly care, and strategies to combat AI-related fraud.
What’s more! CDS Director Professor Yi MA will also participate in the “灣區生活一小時” programme. He will share his journey in AI research and education and highlight CDS’s strategic role in developing AI talent in the Greater Bay Area.
Tune in to the programmes to hear more inspiring stories and expert insights from HKU CDS. The programme will also be available for online streaming at “Crazy and Happy (瘋Show 快活人)” and “Bay Area Guide (灣區生活一小時)”.
