Scholarships at a Glance

School of Computing and Data Science Entrance Scholarship

In support of outstanding students admitted to specific undergraduate programmes of the School, up
to ten scholarships, valued at HK$200,000 each, shall be awarded annually from 2025/26 on the basis
of academic merit as shown in the results of the relevant public examinations to local and non-local
students newly admitted to the School.

Computing and Data Science (6999) Entrance Scholarship

HK$50,000-$100,000

Up to thirty scholarships, valued at HK$50,000-$100,000 each, shall be awarded to outstanding
students admitted to the BEng (Computer Science) and BEng (Artificial Intelligence and Data Science)
programmes. The scholarships shall be awarded annually from 2025/26 to local and non-local students
newly admitted to the two programmes on the basis of academic merit as shown in the results of the
relevant public examinations.

 

Tongcheng Travel Scholarship

Up to HK$300,000

Tongcheng Travel Holdings Limited, an innovator and market leader in China’s online travel
industry and a listed company in Hong Kong, pledged a donation of HK$3 million to establish a
Scholarship in support of outstanding BASc (Applied Artificial Intelligence), BEng (Artificial
Intelligence and Data Science) and BEng (Computer Science) undergraduate students. Up to six
scholarships shall be awarded annually to first-year students in the three programmes, based
on academic performance in prevailing public examinations for admissions to the University. The
award values for local and non-local students are HK$80,000 and HK$300,000 (per awardee)
respectively.

 



Following the formal interview process, candidates had the valuable opportunity to interact with our student ambassadors. These interactions allowed applicants to gain firsthand insights into life at CDS and to connect with peers who have walked the same path.

The results of the scholarship selection will be announced in late August via email. We thank all participants for their dedication and look forward to celebrating the achievements of our future CDS students in the near future!
