HKU School of Computing and Data Science (CDS) is proud to announce that Professor Zhiyi Huang, Head of the Computer Science Division, has been awarded the Research Fellow Scheme (RFS) 2025/26 by the Research Grants Council (RGC).

HKU School of Computing and Data Science (CDS) is proud to announce that Professor Zhiyi Huang, Head of the Computer Science Division, has been awarded the Research Fellow Scheme (RFS) 2025/26 by the Research Grants Council (RGC).
Professor Huang’s awarded project, titled “Data-driven Online Resource Allocation: From Theory to Algorithms”. His general research interests cover the broad areas of theoretical computer science, algorithmic game theory, online algorithm and differential privacy.
The RGC Research Fellow Scheme (RFS) is designed to support outstanding mid-career researchers at the Associate Professor rank and senior researchers at the full Professor rank from UGC-funded universities in Hong Kong. The scheme aims to enable awardees to dedicate their careers to cutting-edge research and development, while also nurturing and training the next generation of research talent in Hong Kong.
This recognition underscores Professor Huang’s exceptional contributions to the field of computer science and further strengthens CDS’s reputation as a hub for impactful, world-class research.
