This morning, Professor Chow Ka Ho (Assistant Professor of the School of Computing and Data Science (CDS), Mr. Kam Wai Ming (Principal of HKSKH Bishop Hall Secondary School) and Dr. Leo Yeung (Guest Lecturer at CDS) joined RTHK’s “Crazy and Happy (瘋Show 快活人)” under the theme “The AI Starter Class II (AI BB班2)”. They focused on the application of AI in education and its impact on students’ motivation to learn and the effectiveness of teaching.

In this episode, the speakers also shared real-world examples of how AI is being used in education. AI tools have shown promising results in both classroom and self-directed learning environments, especially when supported by teacher guidance. However, they emphasised that, although AI can accelerate learning and content creation, human expertise is still essential, particularly in educational design, interpretation, and problem solving.
