The School of Computing and Data Science (CDS) at the University of Hong Kong (HKU) is pleased to announce a series of prestigious entrance scholarships for high-achieving local and international students admitted in the 2026/27 academic year. 1.School of Computing and Data Science Entrance Scholarship (1)
This flagship scholarship, valued at HK$200,000 per recipient, is awarded to top-performing students admitted to any undergraduate programme within CDS:

The above scholarships may be held concurrently with other scholarships offered by HKU, provided that the total value of the awards received does not exceed the maximum amount stipulated by the Senate each year.

Note:
1. To avoid duplication of benefits, recipients of the “School of Computing and Data Science Entrance Scholarship” will not be eligible to receive the following scholarships concurrently: “Computing and Data Science Entrance Scholarship”, “Statistical Decision Sciences Entrance Scholarship”, “Statistics and Actuarial Science Scholarship”.
2. English and Chinese language subjects, Critical Thinking, General Studies, Global Perspectives and Research, Knowledge and Enquiry, Project Work, Thinking Skills, and Extended Project Qualification are excluded.
3. Shortlisted candidates may be invited to attend a scholarship interview, and the interview performance may be considered as part of the selection criteria.
4. 6779 Programme admission formula: 1.5 x Mathematics + Best 4 Subjects (may include Category A subjects and M1/M2).
5. 6729 Programme admission formula: 1.2 x English + 1.2 x Mathematics + 1.2 x M1/M2 + Best 2 Subjects.
