The HKU School of Computing and Data Science (CDS), together with the International Society for Computational Biology (ISCB), is delighted to host the International Conference on Genome Informatics ISCB-Asia (GIW XXXIV ISCB-Asia 2025) from 11–13 December 2025 in Hong Kong.


Prior to the conference, the ISCB Student Council will present the 4th Asian Student Council Symposium (ASCS2025) on 10 December 2025, offering an important forum for students and young researchers to showcase their work and connect with global peers.


GIW has a distinguished history of more than 30 years, beginning as the Genome Informatics Workshop in Japan and growing into a leading international conference in bioinformatics and computational biology. This year’s edition in Hong Kong will highlight breakthroughs across computational biology, health informatics, and biomedical data science, bringing together world-class researchers, practitioners, and students.


What to Expect

  • Keynotes by internationally renowned experts
  • Dynamic Panels, Talks, and Posters showcasing the latest novel ideas and discoveries
  • Opportunities to network, collaborate, and engage with diverse communities

  • Scientific themes will include cancer genomics, AI applications in biology and medicine, metagenomics, multi-omic and single-cell analysis, protein/RNA structure prediction, synthetic biology, bioinformatics education, and many more.


    Researchers are invited to submit original research, abstracts of published work, and poster presentations.
